Located directly east of San Francisco at the edge of the Sacramento River Delta, the Lodi appellation is noted for its classic Mediterranean climate, distinctive sandy soils and heritage old vines.
A blend of the classicsā52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petite Verdot and 8% Malbecā punctuated by 20% Zinfandel, a notorious renegade from the appellation. Aged in French oak with medium toast for nine months to smooth off the rough edges.
Velvety and dark in color with aromas of cocoa, cranberry and black currant. Rich maple, dark red fruit, toffee and creamy caramel coat the palate and add to the balanced and juicy mouthfeel. Finishes with layers of dark berries and coffee.
